SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Sept. 23, 1997, i + e Conference—GE Information Services today announced it will serve as a worldwide distributor for SellerXpert, part of the CommerceXpertTM family of Internet Commerce solutions developed by Actra, a joint venture of GE Information Services and Netscape Communications. SellerXpert is a highly scaleable software product that allows a corporation to provide an online selling presence to its customers, partners and suppliers via the Internet.

SellerXpert provides secure, managed self-service ordering 24 hours a day, reducing operational costs and improving customer satisfaction. Integrated with enterprise applications, SellerXpert creates a seamless ordering solution providing users with a strong competitive and marketing advantage. SellerXpert provides out-of-the-box functionality that delivers results quickly for a fast and substantial return on investment. Additionally, SellerXpert centrally manages up-to-date product information, tracks sales and analyzes purchasing patterns while eliminating the need for print catalog distribution.
