Webmaster
Primary responsibility for tools and processes used in
Web content creation and site management. Provide technical
support and strategies to create and maintain
state-of-the-art content including downloadable software,
interactive forms, audio and streaming video. Investigate,
implement and deploy technologies to improve productivity
including automated HTML, database publishing and list
serving.
Required skills
- B.A. in Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years experience as a webmaster for a software
firm
- Strong knowledge of Internet standards and protocols
including HTML, HTTP, Web Server administration and
performance tuning
- Strong programming skills including CGI design, Perl,
UNIX shell scripting, Java, Javascript
- Expertise in FTP management, file locking systems,
search engine technology, statistics generation, usage
reporting, site mirroring, and database publishing
- Knowledge of Web multimedia technologies, in addition
to electronic commerce, Web security, and NSAPI
Preferred skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring
minimal supervision and direction
